As an Accounting Manager, you will partner closely with Executive Leadership, Finance, FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, Human Resources, Legal, and external auditors to manage critical accounting functions and support business decision-making. You will lead month-end and year-end close activities, maintain compliance with accounting standards, oversee financial reporting processes, and implement operational improvements that enhance efficiency and scalability.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and reconciliations.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes while ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP and organizational reporting requirements.
  • Oversee account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and financial analyses.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance procedures.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and Finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities.
  • Coordinate annual audits and work directly with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Support tax planning, tax reporting, and compliance initiatives in partnership with internal and external tax advisors.
  • Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to improve operational and financial performance.
  • Drive accounting process improvements, automation initiatives, and system optimization projects.
  • Oversee ERP system administration and accounting technology enhancements.
  • Mentor, develop, and lead accounting professionals while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, due diligence activities, and special finance projects.
  • Prepare executive-level financial reports and presentations for senior leadership.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, internal controls, and accounting operations.
  • Experience managing month-end close, audits, and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar systems.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial analysis capabilities.
  • Experience supporting remote or multi-location organizations preferred.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Working Conditions

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $200,000 – $290,000 annually, based on accounting leadership experience, technical expertise, certifications, industry background, and overall qualifications.
