Admiral Talent > Jobs > Assistant Project Manager

Location: United States | Project-Based / Hybrid Flexibility
Industry: Commercial Construction, Infrastructure & Capital Projects
Compensation: $120,000 – $145,000

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and highly organized Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, financial control, and successful execution of complex commercial construction and capital projects.

This position is designed for a project professional ready to move beyond administrative coordination and develop meaningful ownership across the full project lifecycle—from preconstruction and procurement through field execution, commissioning, closeout, and turnover.

Working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, architects, subcontractors, owners, and internal business partners, you will help maintain alignment between scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, documentation, and client expectations.

The environment is fast-moving and highly collaborative. A single project may involve dozens of subcontractors, evolving design requirements, procurement constraints, field conditions, owner decisions, regulatory requirements, and critical schedule dependencies. Strong project management requires understanding how those pieces connect and identifying issues before they become expensive problems.

The Assistant Project Manager will therefore be expected to do more than maintain logs and attend meetings.

You will help coordinate RFIs and submittals, track procurement, review change activity, monitor budgets, support scheduling, maintain project controls, coordinate stakeholders, and help resolve issues affecting successful delivery.

This opportunity offers direct exposure to major projects and experienced construction leadership, with a clear path toward increasing project ownership and advancement into Project Manager and Senior Project Manager responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify schedule risks and unresolved constraints.

  • Coordinate information required by field teams.

  • Escalate quality or compliance concerns appropriately.

Project Closeout

  • Coordinate closeout documentation and outstanding deliverables.

  • Support punch-list completion.

  • Collect warranties, manuals, certifications, and as-built information.

  • Coordinate final subcontractor documentation.

  • Assist with owner turnover and commissioning requirements.

  • Help ensure projects transition from construction to occupancy or operations efficiently.
