Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Software Engineers responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise software applications.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering Leadership to define technical roadmaps and project priorities.
  • Guide software architecture decisions while promoting scalable, secure, and maintainable engineering practices.
  • Oversee Agile software development processes, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release management.
  • Conduct code reviews, technical design sessions, and architecture evaluations to ensure engineering quality.
  • Support cloud-native application development using modern software engineering methodologies.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and platform reliability.
  • Monitor engineering performance, delivery timelines, and software quality metrics.
  • Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies supporting successful product delivery.
  • Drive engineering process improvements, automation initiatives, and technical innovation.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop engineering talent while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity teams to ensure secure software development and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions supporting long-term engineering strategy.
  • Present engineering updates, technical recommendations, and project status reports to senior leadership.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline required.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Administration preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years leading software development teams or technical projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Java, C#, Python, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, or comparable programming languages.
  • Experience developing cloud-native applications using AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, REST APIs, distributed systems, and modern software design patterns.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, and continuous delivery methodologies.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package

Base Salary: $342,000 – $389,000 USD annually

Compensation is determined based on leadership experience, software engineering expertise, cloud technologies, organizational impact, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
