About the Opportunity

We are seeking an innovative and visionary Chief Data Officer (CDO) to lead the organization’s enterprise-wide data strategy, governance, analytics, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation initiatives. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Data Officer will establish data as a strategic business asset while enabling the organization to leverage advanced analytics, AI, and data-driven insights to accelerate innovation, improve operational performance, and support long-term growth.

The Chief Data Officer will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors, Technology, Product, Finance, Operations, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Customer Success, Legal, and Information Security leaders to develop a modern enterprise data ecosystem that supports strategic decision-making, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and customer-centric innovation.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive executive leadership experience in enterprise data management, cloud data platforms, business intelligence, AI strategy, and organizational transformation. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise data strategy aligned with the organization’s long-term business objectives.
• Establish enterprise data governance policies, standards, ownership models, and quality frameworks.
• Lead enterprise analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, data architecture, and master data management functions.
• Drive enterprise AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and advanced data science initiatives.
• Build scalable cloud-based data platforms, modern data lakes, warehouses, and analytics environments.
• Ensure enterprise data quality, accessibility, security, integrity, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to embed data-driven decision-making throughout the organization.
• Develop enterprise reporting strategies, executive dashboards, and KPI frameworks.
• Partner with Technology and Cybersecurity teams to strengthen data privacy, governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative data solutions that improve business performance.
• Establish enterprise data literacy and self-service analytics capabilities across business functions.
• Oversee strategic vendor relationships, enterprise technology investments, and data platform modernization.
• Develop and manage enterprise data budgets, resource planning, and organizational priorities.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead high-performing teams across Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Analytics, and Governance.
• Present enterprise data strategies, analytics insights, and transformation initiatives to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, continuous improvement, and ethical data stewardship.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree, MBA, or Ph.D. strongly preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive leadership experience in enterprise data, analytics, technology, or digital transformation.
• Minimum 8 years of executive leadership experience managing enterprise data organizations.
• Proven success leading enterprise-wide data strategy, governance, analytics, and AI initiatives.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture, data governance, business intelligence, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
• Experience with AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and modern data engineering technologies.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, data privacy frameworks, cybersecurity principles, and information governance.
• Exceptional executive leadership, strategic planning, communication, financial management, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $425,000 – $600,000 annually, based on executive leadership experience, enterprise data expertise, AI and analytics capabilities, organizational scale, industry background, and overall qualifications.
