Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
  • Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery and deployment automation.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and best practices.
  • Manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and orchestration platforms.
  • Collaborate with Software Engineering teams to improve deployment processes, release management, and application reliability.
  • Monitor infrastructure performance, application health, and system availability using enterprise monitoring solutions.
  • Implement automated configuration management, infrastructure standardization, and environment consistency.
  • Strengthen cloud security through identity management, secrets management, vulnerability remediation, and security automation.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, deployment, and application performance issues.
  • Support disaster recovery planning, backup strategies, and business continuity initiatives.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization while improving operational efficiency and cost management.
  • Develop scripting and automation solutions using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
  • Maintain documentation for cloud architecture, deployment procedures, operational standards, and infrastructure configurations.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with organizational security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities supporting production environments.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance platform reliability, automation, and operational excellence.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering.
  • Strong experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and container orchestration technologies.
  • Experience building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
  • Experience with Linux administration, networking concepts, and cloud security best practices.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and observability platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash, PowerShell, or Go.
  • Experience with Git version control and Agile software development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, or related cloud certifications are highly desirable.

The DevOps Engineer serves as a strategic technology partner responsible for improving software delivery, cloud infrastructure, platform reliability, and operational efficiency across the organization. This role collaborates closely with Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Cybersecurity, Product Management, Information Technology, and Executive Leadership to develop scalable infrastructure solutions that support innovation, accelerate product delivery, and strengthen enterprise technology capabilities.

By leveraging automation, cloud technologies, infrastructure modernization, and continuous integration practices, this position contributes directly to digital transformation initiatives, business continuity, and long-term organizational growth.


Working Conditions

  • Hybrid work environment based in Austin, Texas.
  • Standard Monday through Friday business schedule with participation in on-call rotations as required.
  • Collaborative Agile engineering environment supporting enterprise cloud platforms.
  • Frequent interaction with Software Engineering, Cloud Architecture, Cybersecurity, and Product teams.
  • Occasional after-hours support for production deployments, maintenance activities, and critical incidents.

Job Function

The DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, automating, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, and enterprise deployment environments. Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $170,000 – $240,000 annually, based on experience, cloud expertise, technical certifications, and overall qualifications.
