Admiral Talent > Jobs > and Omnichannel Growth > Director of Ecommerce

About the Organization

We are a large, enterprise-scale digital commerce, ecommerce technology, consumer marketplace, omnichannel retail, and AI-enabled customer experience organization serving customers across a national digital footprint. The company operates in a highly competitive environment where ecommerce strategy, customer journey design, conversion performance, digital merchandising, platform reliability, product discovery, retention, and revenue growth directly influence business performance.

This is not a traditional ecommerce role focused only on maintaining a website, updating product pages, or reviewing online sales reports. Ecommerce is treated as a major enterprise growth engine that connects digital strategy, customer behavior, product assortment, merchandising, performance marketing, technology, analytics, fulfillment experience, pricing, promotions, loyalty, and customer lifetime value.

The company is continuing to invest in ecommerce platform modernization, AI-enabled personalization, digital merchandising, marketplace expansion, mobile commerce, customer lifecycle optimization, conversion rate improvement, search and discovery, subscription programs, loyalty experiences, paid and organic digital channels, and stronger analytics. As the business scales, leadership is seeking a Director of Ecommerce who can lead with commercial discipline, customer insight, digital fluency, and strong cross-functional execution.

The Director of Ecommerce will own ecommerce strategy, site performance, digital revenue growth, conversion improvement, online merchandising, customer experience, promotional planning, funnel optimization, digital analytics, and ecommerce operations. This leader will work closely with Marketing, Product, Technology, Merchandising, Revenue, Customer Success, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Data Analytics, Brand, Creative, Legal, and Executive Leadership to ensure ecommerce priorities support company growth and customer expectations.

This role requires someone who understands that ecommerce success depends on more than traffic. The ideal candidate will know how to improve conversion, increase average order value, strengthen product discovery, improve digital merchandising, reduce friction in the buying journey, optimize promotional calendars, manage marketplace opportunities, and use data to guide commercial decisions.

The selected candidate will help shape how customers discover, evaluate, purchase, reorder, and engage with the company across digital channels. This is a high-impact opportunity for an ecommerce leader who wants to build a sophisticated digital commerce engine inside a large company, influence revenue strategy, and improve customer experience at scale.
