Position Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Director of Engineering to lead the development, architecture, and execution of next-generation technology solutions within a rapidly scaling enterprise technology organization. This role is designed for an engineering leader who combines deep technical expertise with strategic vision, capable of building high-performing engineering teams, driving innovation, and delivering reliable platforms that support business growth.

As a key member of the technology leadership team, the Director of Engineering will oversee multiple engineering functions, establish engineering excellence standards, guide architecture decisions, and ensure the successful delivery of high-impact products and platforms used by customers and internal stakeholders worldwide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide executive-level leadership for engineering teams responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-scale software platforms and technology solutions.
• Define and execute long-term engineering strategies aligned with company objectives, product roadmaps, customer needs, and market opportunities.
• Lead engineering transformation initiatives focused on scalability, automation, cloud adoption, system reliability, and operational excellence.
• Build, mentor, and manage high-performing engineering teams by establishing strong leadership practices, career development programs, and technical growth frameworks.
• Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, Security, Infrastructure, and Business Operations teams to deliver innovative solutions with measurable business impact.
• Own engineering delivery standards, including software development lifecycle improvements, agile execution, quality assurance processes, and engineering performance metrics.
• Drive architecture reviews and technical decision-making for complex systems, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
• Establish engineering best practices around coding standards, testing automation, documentation, DevOps, and continuous delivery.
• Improve engineering efficiency through process optimization, modern development methodologies, automation, and effective resource planning.
• Manage technical risks by proactively identifying system limitations, scalability challenges, security concerns, and operational dependencies.
• Work with executive leadership to evaluate emerging technologies and determine strategic opportunities for innovation.
• Champion a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across engineering organizations.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience with significant leadership responsibility in enterprise technology environments.
• 5+ years of experience managing engineering leaders, managers, and large cross-functional technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering organizations through growth, transformation, and technology modernization initiatives.
• Strong background in software architecture, distributed systems, cloud platforms, APIs, enterprise applications, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience designing and scaling highly available, secure, and mission-critical technology platforms.
• Proven ability to manage complex technical programs involving multiple teams, stakeholders, and business priorities.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of modern software development methodologies, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering automation.
• Experience working with Agile, Scrum, Lean development, and product-focused engineering teams.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively with both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
• Strong business understanding with the ability to connect technology investments to measurable organizational outcomes.

Compensation & Benefits
