As our organization continues to scale across domestic and international markets, we are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Finance and Operations to lead financial management, operational strategy, and organizational performance initiatives. This executive leadership position plays a pivotal role in aligning financial stewardship with operational excellence, ensuring the organization maintains strong financial health while driving scalable business operations.

The Director of Finance and Operations serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, overseeing financial planning, budgeting, accounting operations, operational performance, business process optimization, and cross-functional strategic initiatives. This individual will collaborate closely with the Executive Leadership Team to support corporate growth, improve organizational efficiency, and develop data-driven strategies that strengthen long-term business performance.

Working alongside Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations leadership, this role is responsible for optimizing business processes, improving financial controls, leading operational planning, and ensuring resources are effectively aligned with organizational priorities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the organization’s financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic financial management.
  • Direct accounting operations, financial reporting, cash flow management, and internal financial controls.
  • Develop operational strategies that improve efficiency, scalability, and organizational performance.
  • Partner with executive leadership to establish annual business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Monitor organizational performance through financial and operational KPIs while recommending strategic improvements.
  • Oversee financial compliance, audit readiness, corporate governance, and regulatory reporting activities.
  • Drive enterprise-wide process improvement initiatives utilizing automation and operational best practices.
  • Evaluate investment opportunities, capital planning, and financial risk management strategies.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to optimize resource allocation and organizational effectiveness.
  • Present financial performance reports, operational dashboards, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Lead organizational planning initiatives supporting sustainable business growth.
  • Build, mentor, and develop finance and operations professionals while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, business integrations, and strategic expansion initiatives where applicable.
  • Ensure operational excellence through effective policy development, process governance, and performance management.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline required.
  • MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent advanced professional qualification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, operations, or corporate management.
  • Minimum of 5 years leading cross-functional finance and operations teams.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate finance, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and operational planning.
  • Experience with ERP platforms including SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or Workday.
  • Demonstrated success leading business transformation, operational improvement, and organizational growth initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of corporate governance, compliance, and enterprise risk management.
  • Outstanding executive communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience supporting remote and geographically distributed organizations is highly desirable.

Working Conditions

  • Fully Remote position within the United States.
  • Executive-level schedule supporting collaboration across multiple U.S. time zones.
  • Approximately 15–25% domestic travel for executive meetings, strategic planning sessions, board presentations, and leadership conferences.

The Director of Finance and Operations is responsible for providing executive leadership across the organization’s financial and operational functions. Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package

Base Salary: $382,000 – $448,000 USD annually

Compensation is determined based on executive leadership experience, financial expertise, operational impact, industry knowledge, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
