As we continue to expand our regional footprint, we are seeking an accomplished District Manager to oversee multiple store locations while driving operational excellence, financial performance, employee engagement, and customer satisfaction. This leader will serve as a strategic business partner to executive leadership and store management teams, ensuring every location consistently delivers outstanding operational execution and achieves ambitious business objectives.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with extensive experience managing multi-unit operations, developing high-performing teams, improving profitability, and implementing strategic initiatives within a fast-paced retail environment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Regional Business Leadership

  • Lead and oversee the operational performance of multiple retail locations within an assigned district, ensuring achievement of sales, profitability, and operational goals.
  • Develop district-wide business strategies aligned with corporate objectives and regional growth initiatives.
  • Analyze business performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement action plans that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive consistent execution of company standards, policies, merchandising initiatives, and operational procedures across all locations.

Financial Performance & Profitability

  • Manage district revenue, operating expenses, labor budgets, inventory performance, and overall financial results.
  • Monitor key financial metrics including sales growth, gross margin, conversion rates, shrink, labor productivity, and profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to improve revenue generation while controlling operational costs.
  • Partner with finance leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

People Leadership & Talent Development

  • Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop Store Managers and Assistant Managers to build high-performing leadership teams.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, leadership coaching sessions, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Foster a culture focused on accountability, collaboration, inclusion, employee engagement, and continuous professional development.
  • Support workforce planning and talent acquisition strategies across the district.

Customer Experience Excellence

  • Ensure every location consistently delivers exceptional customer service and premium shopping experiences.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction metrics, loyalty performance, and service quality standards.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns while promoting long-term customer relationships.
  • Champion customer-first initiatives that strengthen brand reputation and market loyalty.

Operational Excellence

  • Conduct regular store visits to evaluate operational performance, merchandising standards, inventory management, compliance, and facility conditions.
  • Lead operational improvement initiatives utilizing data analytics and performance insights.
  • Ensure consistent execution of inventory control, loss prevention, safety standards, and operational compliance.
  • Support implementation of new technologies, systems, and business processes across the district.

Strategic Business Initiatives

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Human Resources, Finance, Supply Chain, and Corporate Operations to execute enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Support new store openings, relocations, remodels, and market expansion projects.
  • Identify emerging market trends and competitive opportunities that support business growth.
  • Represent district operations during executive business reviews and strategic planning meetings.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Operations Management, Marketing, or related field required.
  • MBA or advanced business degree preferred.
  • 8–12+ years of progressive leadership experience managing multi-unit retail, consumer goods, hospitality, or field operations.
  • Proven experience overseeing multiple high-volume locations with full P&L responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of retail operations, financial management, workforce planning, inventory control, and customer experience strategies.
  • Experience utilizing business intelligence platforms, workforce management systems, ERP software, and retail analytics tools.
  • Ability to travel extensively within assigned district and occasionally nationwide.

Working Conditions

  • Field-based leadership role with frequent travel between retail locations within the assigned district.
  • Regular interaction with executive leadership, store management teams, vendors, and corporate business partners.
  • Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility, adaptability, and strong decision-making under changing business conditions.
  • Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday availability during peak retail periods and special events.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $240,000 – $345,000
