About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Facility Manager to oversee the operations, maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement of a large-scale manufacturing and corporate facility. This leadership position is responsible for ensuring the organization’s facilities operate efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting business continuity and operational excellence.

As the Facility Manager, you will lead all aspects of facility operations, including building maintenance, engineering services, environmental health and safety, space planning, capital improvement projects, vendor management, security coordination, energy management, and workplace services. You will collaborate closely with Operations, Manufacturing, Human Resources, Information Technology, Procurement, Finance, Security, and Executive Leadership to create a productive, safe, and sustainable work environment.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience managing complex commercial or industrial facilities, leading cross-functional teams, and implementing operational improvements that enhance workplace efficiency while reducing operating costs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily facility operations to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted business activities.
  • Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for buildings, equipment, and critical infrastructure.
  • Manage facility maintenance teams, contractors, and third-party service providers while ensuring service quality and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead capital improvement projects, renovations, expansions, and facility modernization initiatives from planning through completion.
  • Develop and manage annual operating budgets, maintenance expenditures, and capital investment plans.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, fire safety regulations, environmental standards, and local building codes.
  • Coordinate workplace safety initiatives, emergency preparedness programs, and business continuity planning.
  • Oversee building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical equipment, fire protection, and backup power systems.
  • Manage vendor selection, contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and service agreements.
  • Optimize space utilization, office planning, workplace design, and occupancy management.
  • Monitor facility performance metrics, maintenance KPIs, energy consumption, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Security and Information Technology teams to support physical security systems and facility technology infrastructure.
  • Implement sustainability initiatives focused on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmental stewardship.
  • Conduct facility inspections, risk assessments, and compliance audits while addressing identified deficiencies.
  • Support organizational growth by planning facility capacity and infrastructure improvements.
  • Prepare executive reports regarding facility performance, project progress, compliance, and operational recommendations.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in facility management, property management, industrial operations, or building engineering.
  • Experience managing large commercial, manufacturing, distribution, healthcare, or corporate facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, mechanical equipment, and building automation systems.
  • Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance, workplace safety standards, and building codes.
  • Experience managing capital projects, vendor relationships, and maintenance operations.
  • Strong financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, procurement, and contract administration.
  • Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or LEED Accreditation are highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.

Strategic Support

The Facility Manager serves as a strategic operational leader responsible for maintaining safe, efficient, and high-performing facilities that support business growth and organizational objectives. This role collaborates with Executive Leadership, Operations, Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Security, Procurement, and Engineering to develop long-term facility strategies, optimize operational performance, strengthen workplace safety, and improve the employee experience.

Through infrastructure planning, operational excellence, sustainability initiatives, and proactive facility management, this position contributes directly to organizational productivity, regulatory compliance, cost optimization, and long-term business success.


Working Conditions

  • On-site position based in Phoenix, Arizona.
  • Standard Monday through Friday business schedule with flexibility to respond to emergency facility issues when required.
  • Frequent movement throughout manufacturing, warehouse, office, and utility areas.
  • Occasional evening or weekend support for maintenance shutdowns, construction projects, or emergency response activities.
  • Interaction with contractors, vendors, engineers, and executive leadership.
  • Company-provided technology, communication tools, and operational resources.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $200,000 – $290,000 annually, based on experience, operational leadership, facility complexity, and overall qualifications.
