As a Human Resource Generalist, you will collaborate closely with Human Resources leadership, Operations, Finance, Safety, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, and department managers to support employee relations, talent management, performance management, benefits administration, policy implementation, workforce planning, onboarding, and compliance initiatives. You will serve as a trusted resource for employees and leaders by providing guidance on HR policies, employment regulations, and best practices while contributing to organizational development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee development, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource by providing guidance to employees and managers regarding company policies, procedures, and employment practices.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation programs, and new hire documentation.
  • Assist with employee relations matters by addressing workplace concerns, conducting investigations, and supporting conflict resolution efforts.
  • Administer performance management processes, employee evaluations, and career development initiatives.
  • Support compensation, benefits enrollment, leave administration, and payroll coordination.
  • Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and confidential personnel files in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring initiatives, interview coordination, and workforce planning activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and organizational policies.
  • Assist with HR reporting, workforce analytics, and HRIS data management.
  • Coordinate employee engagement programs, recognition initiatives, wellness activities, and company events.
  • Support organizational development, leadership training, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Safety and Operations teams to support workplace compliance and employee well-being programs.
  • Participate in policy development, HR process improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide administrative support for HR projects and enterprise-wide people initiatives.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Development, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of Human Resources Generalist or HR Business Partner experience.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, talent acquisition, benefits administration, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • Familiarity with employment laws including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEO, OSHA, and other applicable regulations.
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP Workforce Now, UKG, Paycom, or similar systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, logistics, or operations-focused organizations is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Professional HR certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are preferred.

Working Conditions

  • On-site position based in Columbus, Ohio.
  • Standard Monday through Friday business schedule with flexibility to support operational needs.

Job Function

The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for supporting day-to-day Human Resources operations by managing employee relations, onboarding, performance management, benefits administration, HR compliance, workforce planning, and employee engagement initiatives. This role partners with business leaders to ensure effective HR practices that strengthen organizational performance, support employee development, and maintain compliance with employment regulations.


Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $95,000 – $135,000 annually, based on experience, HR expertise, certifications, and overall qualifications.
