To support this growth, we are seeking an experienced and strategically minded Inventory Control Manager to lead enterprise inventory optimization initiatives and ensure inventory accuracy, visibility, and operational efficiency throughout our supply chain network.
This role will oversee inventory governance, demand alignment, replenishment strategies, warehouse controls, cycle count programs, inventory analytics, and process improvement initiatives across multiple facilities and distribution environments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maximizing inventory productivity while reducing carrying costs, minimizing shortages, and supporting exceptional customer service performance.
The Inventory Control Manager will collaborate closely with supply chain leadership, procurement, operations, finance, logistics, manufacturing, and technology teams to build scalable inventory management processes that support long-term growth and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Inventory Strategy & Optimization
- Develop and implement enterprise inventory control strategies supporting operational efficiency and service-level objectives.
- Establish inventory optimization programs that improve inventory turnover, stock availability, and working capital performance.
- Lead initiatives focused on reducing excess inventory, obsolete stock, and inventory-related operational risks.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts supporting scalable inventory management practices across distribution networks.
Inventory Accuracy & Governance
- Establish inventory governance standards, policies, and operational controls across warehouses and distribution facilities.
- Oversee cycle count programs, physical inventory audits, and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure inventory records accurately reflect operational inventory movement and stock levels.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Warehouse Operations Support
- Partner with warehouse leadership to improve inventory handling procedures and storage optimization.
- Develop inventory control processes supporting automated fulfillment and warehouse management systems.
- Monitor inventory movement throughout receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping operations.
- Ensure inventory integrity across multiple facilities and inventory locations.
Demand Planning & Replenishment Coordination
- Collaborate with demand planning and procurement teams to align inventory levels with forecasted customer demand.
- Analyze inventory requirements and develop replenishment strategies supporting service objectives.
- Support inventory deployment decisions across regional and global distribution networks.
- Optimize safety stock policies and inventory allocation methodologies.
Data Analytics & Performance Management
- Utilize advanced analytics tools to evaluate inventory performance, trends, and operational risks.
- Develop executive dashboards tracking inventory accuracy, turnover, shrinkage, service levels, and working capital utilization.
- Generate strategic recommendations based on inventory performance metrics and business objectives.
- Lead root-cause analysis efforts related to inventory variances and operational inefficiencies.
Technology & Process Improvement
- Support implementation and optimization of ERP, WMS, inventory planning, and supply chain technology platforms.
- Leverage automation and predictive analytics tools to improve inventory visibility and decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for process standardization and operational automation.
- Participate in digital transformation initiatives across supply chain operations.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Partner with procurement, finance, operations, logistics, and customer service teams to align inventory objectives.
- Lead inventory-focused projects supporting mergers, facility expansions, system implementations, and operational transitions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to inventory analysts, coordinators, and warehouse personnel.
- Support executive leadership with inventory performance reporting and strategic planning recommendations.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree or professional certifications (APICS CPIM, CSCP, Six Sigma, Lean) preferred.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in inventory management, supply chain operations, warehousing, or logistics leadership.
- Proven experience managing inventory control programs within large-scale distribution, manufacturing, or fulfillment environments.
- Strong knowledge of inventory planning methodologies, warehouse operations, and supply chain best practices.
- Experience working with ERP systems, WMS platforms, and advanced inventory management technologies.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen related to inventory performance and working capital management.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package: $280,000 – $370,000
