The Logistics Specialist serves as a key liaison between suppliers, carriers, warehouses, customers, and cross-functional business teams. This position is responsible for coordinating shipments, monitoring transportation performance, resolving logistics issues, maintaining shipment documentation, and identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate domestic and international shipments while ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective transportation.
- Monitor shipment status, delivery schedules, and carrier performance to ensure service level agreements are achieved.
- Collaborate with suppliers, warehouses, carriers, freight forwarders, and customers to resolve transportation issues.
- Prepare, review, and maintain shipping documentation, invoices, bills of lading, customs paperwork, and inventory records.
- Monitor inventory movement and coordinate replenishment activities with warehouse and procurement teams.
- Analyze freight costs, transportation metrics, and logistics performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Resolve shipping discrepancies, delivery delays, damaged goods claims, and transportation exceptions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable transportation, import/export, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate logistics records within ERP, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
- Support warehouse operations by coordinating inbound and outbound shipments.
- Assist in carrier selection, routing optimization, and freight negotiations when applicable.
- Prepare logistics reports, dashboards, and performance metrics for management review.
- Identify process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
- Support cross-functional initiatives involving procurement, inventory management, customer service, and operations.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, warehouse operations, or distribution.
- Experience working with ERP systems, Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and inventory software.
- Strong understanding of freight operations, inventory control, transportation planning, and distribution processes.
- Knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations, carrier operations, and customs documentation is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and vendor relationship management abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- APICS, CLTD, CSCP, or other supply chain certifications are considered an asset.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package
Base Salary: $145,000 – $195,000 USD annually
Compensation is determined based on logistics experience, supply chain expertise, geographic location, industry background, and overall qualifications.
