We are seeking a highly motivated Project Engineer to lead the technical planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects from concept through completion. This role serves as the bridge between engineering design, project management, construction, procurement, and client stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

The Project Engineer will collaborate with Design Engineering, Operations, Quality Assurance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Construction, and Executive Leadership teams to manage technical deliverables, resolve engineering challenges, and support successful project execution. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate engineering activities throughout the complete project lifecycle, from planning through project closeout.
  • Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and project documentation for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Develop project schedules, resource plans, budgets, and technical execution strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans to maintain delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate with procurement teams to support equipment sourcing, vendor management, and material planning.
  • Participate in design reviews, value engineering initiatives, and technical problem-solving sessions.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with industry regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports, engineering documentation, progress updates, and executive project presentations.
  • Support project commissioning, system testing, quality inspections, and operational handover activities.
  • Manage communication between clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Evaluate opportunities for process improvements that enhance project efficiency and engineering quality.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support continuous professional development across engineering teams.
  • Contribute to organizational engineering standards and best practices.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering discipline required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of engineering or project engineering experience supporting complex infrastructure, industrial, or technology projects.
  • Experience managing engineering documentation, technical specifications, project schedules, and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent engineering and project management software.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, project controls, quality management, and construction or manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and engineering change management practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • PMP, CAPM, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent project management certification is considered an advantage.

Working Conditions

  • Fully Remote position within the United States.
  • Flexible work schedule supporting collaboration across multiple U.S. time zones.
  • Approximately 15–25% domestic travel for project site visits, client meetings, engineering reviews, commissioning activities, and leadership workshops.

Job Function

The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating engineering activities, managing technical project execution, supporting multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring engineering deliverables meet quality, budget, schedule, and regulatory requirements. This role partners with project managers, engineering leaders, clients, contractors, and business stakeholders to deliver successful infrastructure and technology projects while driving operational excellence and long-term organizational growth. Success is measured through project performance, technical quality, customer satisfaction, safety, budget adherence, and timely project delivery.


Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package

Base Salary: $276,000 – $346,000 USD annually

Compensation is determined based on engineering expertise, project complexity, industry experience, certifications, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
