As our business continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Revenue Accounting Manager to oversee revenue recognition, financial reporting, and accounting operations related to customer contracts and revenue-generating activities. The Revenue Accounting Manager serves as a strategic partner to Finance, Sales Operations, Legal, FP&A, Internal Audit, and Executive Leadership teams. This position is responsible for managing revenue accounting processes, reviewing complex customer contracts, supporting audits, improving accounting controls, and leading initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue accounting close processes.
- Review customer contracts and evaluate revenue recognition treatment in accordance with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP.
- Oversee revenue reconciliations, journal entries, account analyses, and financial reporting activities.
- Ensure accurate recording of deferred revenue, contract assets, contract liabilities, and related accounting transactions.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations, Legal, Billing, and Customer Success teams regarding contract structures and revenue implications.
- Develop, implement, and maintain revenue accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and technical accounting analyses.
- Monitor compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company financial policies.
- Analyze complex revenue transactions and provide technical accounting guidance to internal stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to automate revenue accounting workflows and improve financial reporting efficiency.
- Prepare executive reporting packages, revenue trend analyses, and financial performance dashboards.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Partner with FP&A during budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Support ERP implementations, accounting system enhancements, and finance transformation initiatives.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline required.
- CPA designation strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 3 years focused on revenue accounting.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
- Experience working with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or Workday.
- Experience supporting SaaS, subscription, technology, professional services, or multi-element revenue models is highly desirable.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience supporting financial audits, SOX compliance, and internal control environments.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package
Base Salary: $280,000 – $350,000 USD annually
Compensation is determined based on accounting leadership experience, technical expertise, industry background, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
