About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Risk Manager to lead enterprise risk management initiatives, identify emerging risks, strengthen risk controls, and support informed decision-making across the organization. This senior leadership role will oversee risk assessment, mitigation strategies, governance frameworks, reporting, and cross-functional risk initiatives.
The Senior Risk Manager will partner closely with Executive Leadership, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Cybersecurity, Operations, Internal Audit, and Business Unit leaders to identify and evaluate financial, operational, strategic, technology, regulatory, and third-party risks. This position will play a critical role in strengthening organizational resilience while ensuring risk management practices support business growth.
The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and quantitative skills with excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities. Success in this role requires sound judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate complex risk information into practical recommendations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute enterprise risk management strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate financial, operational, strategic, technology, and third-party risks.
- Maintain enterprise risk registers, risk assessments, control frameworks, and mitigation plans.
- Establish risk appetite, tolerance thresholds, key risk indicators, and monitoring frameworks.
- Lead periodic enterprise-wide risk assessments and scenario analyses.
- Analyze emerging risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
- Partner with Compliance and Legal teams to monitor regulatory and policy-related risks.
- Collaborate with Cybersecurity and Technology teams to evaluate technology and information-security risks.
- Assess operational resilience, business continuity, and disaster recovery risks.
- Evaluate third-party and vendor risks and support due diligence activities.
- Develop executive-level risk reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Monitor risk trends and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
- Support internal and external audits by providing risk documentation and evidence.
- Lead risk management projects, control improvement initiatives, and remediation programs.
- Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, standards, and governance frameworks.
- Mentor risk professionals and promote a strong organizational culture of risk awareness and accountability.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Master’s degree, MBA, or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management, financial risk, operational risk, compliance, audit, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 3–5 years of management or senior leadership experience.
- Strong understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks and risk governance principles.
- Experience with risk assessments, control testing, risk reporting, and mitigation planning.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and risk management standards relevant to the organization’s industry.
- Experience with GRC platforms, risk analytics tools, and enterprise reporting systems preferred.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, communication, and leadership skills.
- Professional certifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA, CPA, CRISC, or related credentials are preferred.

Working Conditions
- Fully Remote position within the United States.
- Standard Monday through Friday executive work schedule with flexibility during critical risk events.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package: $230,000 – $350,000 annually, based on risk management leadership experience, industry expertise, organizational complexity, technical capabilities, and overall qualifications.
