As our business continues to expand across domestic and international markets, we are seeking an experienced Senior Risk Manager to lead enterprise risk initiatives that strengthen governance, improve operational resilience, and support informed business decision-making.

The Senior Risk Manager serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership, providing expert guidance on enterprise risk management, operational risk, regulatory compliance, business continuity, and internal control effectiveness. This role is responsible for identifying emerging risks, evaluating business processes, developing mitigation strategies, and fostering a culture of proactive risk awareness throughout the organization.

Working closely with Executive Leadership, Finance, Internal Audit, Information Security, Legal, Compliance, Operations, and Business Unit leaders, the Senior Risk Manager will oversee enterprise risk assessments, support regulatory examinations, develop governance frameworks, and ensure organizational risks are effectively managed in alignment with strategic business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the organization’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program.
  • Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments to identify operational, financial, strategic, compliance, and technology risks.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and partner with business leaders to implement effective control measures.
  • Monitor emerging regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on business operations.
  • Establish and maintain enterprise risk policies, governance frameworks, and reporting standards.
  • Prepare executive-level risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior leadership and Board committees.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit, Compliance, Information Security, and Legal teams to strengthen organizational governance.
  • Support business continuity planning, operational resilience, and crisis management initiatives.
  • Evaluate internal controls and recommend process improvements that reduce organizational risk.
  • Facilitate risk workshops, control assessments, and cross-functional governance meetings.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, strategic initiatives, and new business opportunities through comprehensive risk analysis.
  • Promote a strong risk culture through education, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and recommend proactive corrective actions.
  • Mentor junior risk professionals while promoting best practices across the Enterprise Risk function.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Risk Management, or a related discipline required.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in enterprise risk management, operational risk, internal audit, compliance, or financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), COSO, ISO 31000, and regulatory governance frameworks.
  • Experience conducting enterprise risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of operational resilience, business continuity planning, and third-party risk management.
  • Experience with governance, regulatory compliance, and internal control evaluation.
  • Professional certifications such as CRMP, CRM, CIA, CISA, CRCM, FRM, or PMP are highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation, and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience utilizing governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platforms and business intelligence tools is preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Fully Remote position within the United States.
  • Standard business hours with flexibility to support business priorities across multiple time zones.
  • Approximately 10–20% domestic travel for leadership meetings, risk assessments, audits, and strategic planning sessions.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package

Base Salary: $165,000 – $215,000 USD annually

Compensation is determined based on enterprise risk management experience, industry expertise, certifications, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
