About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Software Development Manager to lead software engineering teams responsible for designing, developing, testing, and delivering scalable technology solutions. This role combines technical leadership, people development, engineering strategy, and delivery management to ensure high-quality software products are delivered efficiently and consistently.
The Software Development Manager will work closely with Engineering Leadership, Product Management, Architecture, DevOps, Security, Quality Assurance, and business stakeholders to establish engineering priorities, manage development roadmaps, remove technical obstacles, and continuously improve software delivery practices.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop software engineering teams responsible for application development and technology delivery.
- Establish engineering priorities, development plans, milestones, and delivery expectations.
- Oversee the complete software development lifecycle from requirements through deployment and production support.
- Collaborate with Product Management to translate business requirements into technical development plans.
- Provide technical guidance on software architecture, application design, development practices, and engineering standards.
- Conduct and oversee code reviews, technical design reviews, and engineering quality assessments.
- Monitor project schedules, engineering capacity, dependencies, risks, and delivery performance.
- Partner with DevOps and Infrastructure teams to strengthen CI/CD, deployment automation, and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to establish comprehensive testing and quality standards.
- Identify technical risks and develop mitigation strategies for complex engineering initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement in development processes, engineering productivity, and delivery efficiency.
- Support technology modernization, cloud migration, application enhancement, and platform initiatives.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve engineering capabilities.
- Develop engineering performance metrics and provide regular updates to leadership.
- Recruit, retain, coach, and develop high-performing software engineering professionals.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of professional software development experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading software engineering or development teams.
- Strong experience with modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, or similar technologies.
- Experience with software architecture, APIs, microservices, databases, and scalable application development.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, CI/CD, and modern software delivery methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proven experience managing engineering projects, resources, technical priorities, and delivery timelines.

Compensation & Benefits
