We are seeking an experienced Sr. Systems Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise infrastructure across cloud, virtualization, networking, storage, and server technologies. This role will play a critical part in modernizing infrastructure, improving operational efficiency, and supporting large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
The Sr. Systems Engineer will collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, DevOps, Enterprise Architecture, Network Engineering, and IT Operations teams to develop scalable infrastructure solutions while maintaining the highest standards of availability, performance, and security.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise server, storage, virtualization, and cloud infrastructure environments.
- Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives supporting hybrid cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
- Implement automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual administration.
- Manage Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, and cloud infrastructure platforms.
- Configure and maintain Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity management services.
- Support Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud infrastructure deployments and optimization initiatives.
- Monitor infrastructure performance while implementing proactive capacity planning and system optimization.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen infrastructure security, endpoint protection, and compliance.
- Develop disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity strategies for enterprise environments.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues while performing root cause analysis and long-term remediation.
- Develop technical documentation, infrastructure standards, operational procedures, and architecture diagrams.
- Mentor Systems Engineers and Infrastructure Administrators while promoting engineering best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies that improve enterprise infrastructure performance and scalability.
- Participate in infrastructure governance, architecture reviews, and strategic technology planning.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline required.
- Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in systems engineering, infrastructure engineering, or enterprise IT operations.
- Extensive experience with Windows Server, Linux, VMware, Hyper-V, and enterprise virtualization platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, PowerShell, Python, Bash, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, storage technologies, virtualization, backup solutions, and disaster recovery.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure AD, Exchange Online, and identity management technologies.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, and DevOps methodologies is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and infrastructure hardening.
- Microsoft, VMware, AWS, Azure, Cisco, or Red Hat certifications are highly preferred.

Working Conditions
- Fully Remote position within the United States.

- Approximately 5–10% domestic travel for infrastructure planning, engineering workshops, and leadership meetings.

Job Function

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package
Base Salary: $286,000 – $358,000 USD annually
Compensation is determined based on enterprise systems engineering expertise, cloud infrastructure experience, technical certifications, geographic location, leadership capabilities, and overall qualifications.
