We are seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to support general accounting operations, financial reporting, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and regulatory compliance. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, analyzing financial data, and assisting with audits while collaborating across multiple business functions.

The Staff Accountant works closely with Finance, Treasury, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Tax, Internal Audit, and Business Operations teams to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and operational excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial close processes.
  • Prepare financial statements, schedules, and supporting documentation.
  • Analyze general ledger accounts and investigate variances.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
  • Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and asset reconciliations.
  • Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash reconciliation activities as needed.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required financial documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop financial reports, KPI dashboards, and management summaries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes through automation and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate financial records while protecting confidential information.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects supporting finance transformation initiatives.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or financial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar enterprise accounting platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables, formulas, and financial analysis.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools and reconciliation software is preferred.
  • CPA designation or progress toward CPA certification is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy.

Job Function

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting corporate accounting operations by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package

Base Salary: $244,000 – $314,000 USD annually

Compensation is determined based on accounting experience, ERP expertise, financial reporting knowledge, certifications, geographic location, education, and overall qualifications.
