The Systems Engineer Control Analyst serves as a key partner to Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Compliance, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, and IT Operations teams. This position is responsible for analyzing system configurations, validating security and operational controls, supporting audit readiness, automating monitoring processes, and identifying opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability and regulatory compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure controls supporting secure and reliable technology operations.
- Evaluate system configurations, technical controls, and infrastructure performance against organizational standards.
- Monitor enterprise environments to identify control deficiencies, system vulnerabilities, and operational risks.
- Collaborate with Infrastructure, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and DevOps teams to implement corrective actions.
- Support internal and external technology audits by preparing documentation, evidence, and compliance reports.
- Perform control assessments, configuration reviews, and risk analyses across enterprise systems.
- Develop automated monitoring, reporting, and alerting solutions to improve operational visibility.
- Maintain technical documentation, system standards, policies, and control procedures.
- Support disaster recovery, business continuity, backup validation, and system resilience initiatives.
- Investigate infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis, and recommend preventive improvements.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security standards and applicable regulatory frameworks.
- Analyze infrastructure performance metrics and recommend optimization opportunities.
- Participate in enterprise technology projects involving infrastructure modernization and cloud migration.
- Promote continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and process optimization.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in systems engineering, infrastructure administration, IT controls, cybersecurity, or enterprise technology operations.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration, virtualization, networking, and enterprise infrastructure.
- Experience with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, automation, scripting, and configuration management tools.
- Knowledge of IT governance frameworks including NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, COBIT, or SOC compliance standards.
- Experience supporting technology audits, risk assessments, and control validation activities.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages is preferred.
- Industry certifications such as Microsoft, AWS, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, Azure Administrator, RHCSA, or VMware are considered an asset.

Job Function

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package
Base Salary: $290,000 – $360,000 USD annually
Compensation is determined based on systems engineering experience, technical certifications, infrastructure expertise, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
