This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, security, and scalability of enterprise applications through comprehensive testing strategies, advanced automation, and continuous quality improvement.
The Technology Test Engineer will collaborate closely with Software Engineering, DevOps, Product Management, Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and Customer Success teams to validate complex software systems throughout the development lifecycle. This position combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic quality engineering, enabling the successful candidate to influence testing frameworks, automation strategies, and release quality across multiple enterprise platforms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive testing strategies for enterprise software applications.
- Build and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks supporting continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD).
- Develop functional, integration, regression, API, performance, and end-to-end automated test suites.
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure quality is integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Perform performance, scalability, and load testing to validate application reliability.
- Conduct security-focused testing while supporting secure software development practices.
- Identify software defects, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Improve software quality through continuous enhancement of testing processes and automation coverage.
- Support cloud-native applications deployed across AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Monitor application quality metrics and prepare testing reports for engineering leadership.
- Participate in architecture discussions while providing recommendations that improve system testability.
- Mentor Quality Engineers and promote engineering best practices across the organization.
- Evaluate emerging testing technologies and recommend improvements to enterprise quality engineering processes.
- Support release readiness activities while ensuring software meets performance, reliability, and security standards.
Job Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software testing, quality engineering, or test automation.
- Strong experience with automated testing frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar tools.
- Experience developing automated test scripts using Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or comparable programming languages.
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar technologies.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms including GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, software testing life cycles, and quality assurance best practices.
- Experience testing cloud-native applications deployed on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized application testing.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent quality engineering certification is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Package
Base Salary: $290,000 – $360,000 USD annually
Compensation is determined based on technical expertise, quality engineering experience, automation proficiency, business impact, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
