We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Engineer to join our Network Engineering organization. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise voice, data, wireless, and unified communications infrastructure while ensuring high availability, performance, and security across distributed network environments.

The Telecommunications Engineer will collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Network Operations, Cybersecurity, Infrastructure Services, IT Operations, and Customer Success teams to deliver innovative communication solutions that support business growth and operational excellence. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise telecommunications infrastructure supporting voice, video, and data communications.
  • Configure and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, and WAN/LAN environments.
  • Deploy and support VoIP, SIP, Unified Communications, and cloud-based collaboration platforms.
  • Design network architectures supporting scalability, high availability, and business continuity.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Troubleshoot complex network, voice, and telecommunications issues while minimizing service disruptions.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen network security and telecommunications resilience.
  • Support SD-WAN, MPLS, VPN, fiber-optic, and wireless networking technologies.
  • Implement network automation and infrastructure monitoring solutions.
  • Perform capacity planning, network upgrades, disaster recovery testing, and infrastructure lifecycle management.
  • Develop technical documentation, network diagrams, configuration standards, and operational procedures.
  • Evaluate emerging telecommunications technologies and recommend infrastructure improvements.
  • Mentor junior network engineers while promoting engineering best practices.
  • Participate in enterprise infrastructure modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in telecommunications engineering, network engineering, or enterprise infrastructure.
  • Strong expertise with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Palo Alto, or equivalent enterprise networking technologies.
  • Experience supporting VoIP, SIP, Microsoft Teams Phone, Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Zoom Phone, or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN, QoS, DNS, and enterprise routing and switching.
  • Experience with wireless networking, fiber-optic infrastructure, and cloud networking technologies.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and performance management platforms.
  • Experience with automation tools, scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash), and Infrastructure as Code is desirable.
  • CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, AWS Advanced Networking, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Job Function

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package

Base Salary: $282,000 – $352,000 USD annually

Compensation is determined based on telecommunications engineering expertise, enterprise networking experience, technical certifications, geographic location, and overall qualifications.
