About the Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished and commercially driven Vice President of Financial Sales to lead the organization’s financial sales strategy, revenue growth, client acquisition, strategic partnerships, and sales organization. This executive will develop and execute a scalable sales strategy across financial products and services while building strong relationships with institutional, commercial, and high-value clients.

The Vice President of Financial Sales will work closely with the CEO, CFO, Chief Revenue Officer, Product, Marketing, Risk, Compliance, and Operations leadership teams. The ideal candidate brings deep financial-services expertise, exceptional sales leadership, strong market knowledge, and a proven record of delivering sustainable revenue growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the organization’s financial sales strategy and revenue-growth plan.
  • Lead and scale high-performing financial sales teams across targeted markets.
  • Establish sales targets, revenue objectives, KPIs, forecasts, and performance standards.
  • Develop strategic relationships with institutional, commercial, corporate, and high-value clients.
  • Identify new markets, customer segments, distribution channels, and revenue opportunities.
  • Lead complex enterprise and financial-services sales cycles.
  • Build strategic partnerships with banks, financial institutions, investment firms, fintech organizations, and other industry partners.
  • Oversee pipeline development, account planning, forecasting, and sales performance.
  • Develop pricing, commercial, and go-to-market strategies in collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Partner with Product teams to align financial solutions with evolving customer needs.
  • Work closely with Marketing to develop demand-generation and market-positioning strategies.
  • Establish disciplined CRM, pipeline-management, and sales-reporting processes.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, regulatory developments, and customer behavior.
  • Lead negotiations with major clients and strategic partners.
  • Develop executive-level relationships with key decision-makers.
  • Identify cross-selling, upselling, retention, and account-expansion opportunities.
  • Ensure sales activities align with applicable regulatory, compliance, and risk-management requirements.
  • Develop sales compensation, incentive, and performance-management programs.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop senior sales leaders and high-performing commercial talent.
  • Present sales performance, market opportunities, risks, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and the Board when required.

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or advanced business/finance degree strongly preferred.
  • 12+ years of progressive sales, financial-services, business-development, or commercial leadership experience.
  • 7+ years of senior sales leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue and sales targets.
  • Strong experience within banking, wealth management, asset management, insurance, lending, payments, FinTech, investment services, or related financial markets.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex enterprise and institutional sales cycles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial products, services, markets, and customer segments.
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships and distribution networks.
  • Strong CRM, sales analytics, forecasting, and pipeline-management expertise.
  • Excellent understanding of financial-services compliance and risk considerations.
  • Experience leading geographically distributed sales teams preferred.

Working Conditions

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Package: $390,000 – $520,000 annually, based on executive sales experience, revenue responsibility, financial-services expertise, organizational scope, market coverage, and overall qualifications.
